Development News.

Land Issues: We have now met with the Gateshead MBC planning team and are putting together planning applications. These include appliaction for a temporary clubhouse building to be situated on the field hopefully by May 1st for the sumer months.

Partnership Agreement: We met with the Deputy Head of the school to update the agreement and discuss any problems. We were both satisfied so far. As part of the agreement inhouse coaching has taken place in January and the club have recruited new members as a result.

Grant Funding: Results from our grant applications are still awaited, hopefully news will be forhcoming shortly.

Development Fund:This is still continuing to grow, with the bag pack just before Christmas. We currently have 2 fund raising functions underway at present:

1. A Race night at Pelaw Dog Track (Thursday 20th March) - Tickets are £5 per adult (KIDS FREE). We have been offered 100 tickets for this event and if we sell them all we will raise £500 for the club. FAMILY & FRIENDS are welcome to attend.

2.Norwich Union Initiative: We have been accepted as 1 of 200 initiatives by Norwich Union countrywide to try and win £50,000 by online voting. If by September 2008 we get the most votes in the region then we receive £12,500, and £50,000 if most votes in the country.
