The Three Mums say:- CYP Wales events

Relay:
The girls 4 x 100 under 13 relay came second with a PB of 57 dead. Come on boys the girls beat you once again that’s 4-0. Well done Rachel Paige Sophie and Kate. Special mention for Rachel who went all the way to Wales especially for the relay- Thank you Rachel from the girls.

High Jump:
Paige Howell just lost out on a gold, on a jump off. Paige managed a 1m 28cm jump.

Paige was unexpectedly put into the 1500’s and left them behind to come in first

Shot Putt:
Young Kayleigh Brown had an excellent day retaining her title for a second year with a PB of 5m 63cm

Jordan Todd came 4th with a season best

Jessica won gold in her shot with 9.96m beating her previous PB by 1.8m

Holly came in third in the 100m but unfortunately a member from another club took her medal. Holly’s dad sorted it out and Holly got her medal back….well another one as the father of the child would not return it because it would be too upsetting for his daughter. (YB note: sorry like, if you come fourth in a race you aren’t entitled to the third person’s medal, no matter how upsetting, it just isn’t your medal!!)

The journey on the way down was not so easy, our driver, ex-policeman Alan, had a run in with a “very charming couple” who left the heated conversation with a friendly wave of a finger.

Cameron Howell ran an excellent 100m race, Cameron also ran in the relay however they were just pipped into second place, well done Cameron. (YB note: well done all the team)

Kate Murphy came second in her 100m 200m and long jump, with a PB of 3m 95cm well done Kate.

Can someone please let us know what children down south live on - as even the under 11’s seemed to be over 5feet tall

Well done to everyone who took part.

Tom and Ryan Baardman…..
Tom did the 200m against u/13 giants and Ryan in shot against even bigger giants, and both the lads did the relay. They were both surprised to see their dad waving the flag on the third leg. Dean said the flag waving was such fun he would like to do it at every meeting.
